Credit card or...

Your financial future is being destroyed right now. And you're probably helping it happen. Indians have gone completely mad copying the American lifestyle – living on borrowed money, spending what they don't have, and buying things they don't need. The credit card trap is swallowing an entire generation. Banks issued 700,000 new credit cards in August alone – a 7-month high. We now have 112.3 million active credit cards in India. That's not financial inclusion. That's financial destruction waiting to happen. "Buy a 65-inch TV for just Rs 2,000 per month!" Sounds amazing until you realise you're paying Rs 60,000 for an Rs 48,000 TV. The "easy EMI" just made you 37% poorer, but hey, you get to watch Netflix in 4K while drowning in debt. Americans have $1.17 trillion in credit card debt. Their "YOLO" culture destroyed their savings rate. Now we're copying the same playbook. "You live only once" became "You live only in debt." India is shifting from a savings-based economy to a consumption-based disaster. Our grandparents saved 35% of their income. We're saving less than 10% and borrowing the rest. Credit cards aren't making you rich. They're making banks rich while you pay 3-4% monthly interest on money you've already spent. Every swipe is a step toward financial slavery. Every EMI is a chain around your future income. Every "no-cost EMI" costs you your financial freedom.
